Long toenails are gearing up to be the next fashion trend. Could you see yourself rocking it?

Fingernails and fashion have become quite the pair. The things that can be done with nails these days is amazing. There are so many different nail styles and designs you can choose from these days that creating the perfect look has become simple. With the number of women who are now indulging themselves in this self-care, the industry has blown up too!

According to a report put out last year toenails could become the next important fashion statement for women. A lot of women already get their pedicures and take care of their feet as well. But this is suggesting things could go a whole lot further. Could women start sporting long toenails in a variety of shapes – just as they do with fingernails? For some, this may seem fascinating and for others just downright cringeworthy.

But of course, one of the main issues that you have to think about is how will women get their feet into shoes if they have long toenails hanging out??? Trying to squeeze your feet into high-heeled shoes with pointed fronts, or any closed-toed shoes at all for that matter – becomes impossible. This means you would have to put up with wearing open-toe footwear all the time, which certainly isn’t ideal for work or when you are out walking! NOt to mention if you live in a colder climate and need to bundle up!

To top it off the toenails could cause a lot of discomfort. Walking and standing around for long period could become difficult and even painful. A big problem if your job involved walking or being on your feet all day. While you may not mind sporting long toenails for a special party or event, do you really want people being subjected to them on a daily basis? It doesn’t really seem like something you would want to deal with.

While some believed that this would become a big fashion statement, the chances are that most women won’t be keen to have long toenails not least of all because of how impractical they are.
