Dear Me, Reminder, Please Read This Letter On ‘My World Go Away Days’

Hey babe,

Well here we are again, you laying there wishing you could jump off the merry go round of life, one big jump off the world into the abyss where you believe life is so much quieter there.

Sorry babes, it’s not. It’s just as loud there too as the noise is in your head and where you go the noise does too but let me tell you a few things and get your mind in a positive place.

This week you got out of bed even though you were so mentally exhausted that your brain fog seemed like it would never subside, you did that all by yourself and I’m so very proud of you.

You are a beautiful healthy loving soul, yes you are. You worked through so many negative thoughts and pushed back hard on your anxiety attacks, you did that, no one else and I’m so very proud of you.

You made a list of things to do for the week, and you got through them all, that’s the first time you’ve done that, you did that all by yourself and I’m so very proud of you.

Remember the little mantra we worked on together, you didn’t want to write it down, but you did in the end. Repeat after me

‘My anxiety will not beat me down, it will not rule my life, I rule my life, I am the queen of my own realm’.

You remembered it didn’t you when you started to panic, you did that all by yourself and I’m so very proud of you.

You are creative, intelligent and loving soul. I know this week some have been unkind and that set your anxiety off, but you worked through that with no one to guide you or hold your hand. I am so very proud of you.

And so here we are today, and you don’t want to get out of bed, so don’t get out of bed it’s that simple.

Have a duvet day, cuddle down in bed, read the book you’ve been wanting to start, binge watch movies, eat the gallon ice cream, no one is here but us so who cares.

Today is your day to do what you want to your heart’s content.

Turn off your phone, ignore the door there’s nothing wrong with that.

We know anxiety is not our friend.

But look at you fighting and fighting strong every day.

You are not your mental illness.

Stay strong, tomorrow is another day.

All my love
